Planted Yoga Rugs is an independent company launched in 2020 out of seaside city Brighton, UK. The brand is owned by Elizabeth Hawes, entrepreneur and yoga teacher seeking more interesting and artistic options in the yoga equipment space. With each rug release, Elizabeth commissions a UK artist to carefully curate an affordable statement piece of equipment fit for home or travel. The original Yin rug is woven and digitally printed, the latest Yang collection has evolved to include grippy rubber mats that are etched with the designs. Her partnerships include mural artist Lois O’Hara as well as Anthropologie designer Marcello Velho. Planted Yoga Rugs want you to "do more on the floor" and be inspired to "make time for movement”.
